In this quarter's issue of the fantastic ACW GAMER Ezine, we've provided a custom 3mm paper model of the Troup Hurt house. This famous brick structure stood outside Atlanta, not far from Bald Hill, where John B. Hood launched a furious counter-attack on July 22nd. Inside the latest issue of the ezine, you can print a copy of the model and construct your own Troup Hurt house in about ten minutes. The article provides some background on the historic structure, instructions for quick assembly, and of course, the paper model itself! So as if you needed any more reasons to become a subscriber to one of the hobby's best new publications, visit ACW GAMER now!

A couple extra pictures of our custom paper building appear below the break. Don't forget--you can refight Hood's July 22nd counterattack against McPherson using one of the 18 scenarios offered in our latest supplement,
Atlanta is Ours. This massive PDF supplement also includes all the other operations of the Atlanta campaign.

For players not busy fighting for control west of the Mississippi with our new Atlanta is Ours supplement, there is a new FREE scenario available. Hop over to the "Free Downloads" page and try the Second Kernstown scenario, which requires a fairly small number of miniatures to play. This scenario is not available in either our of PDFs and is entirely new.

We've also play-tested the battle as a true double-blind scenario, running two identical tables separated by a screen. You can read about the results and see all the game photos in our latest AAR! So take a break from your campaigns in Georgia and return to the Shenandoah Valley for a free 1864 scenario. In the coming months, we'll continue posting more free stuff, including other battles not available in the scenario PDFs.
